Man Gambles Away $500,000 Blackout Drunk, Sues Casino

Imagine waking up after a blackout drunk night only realize you’re out $500,000. This is exactly what happened to Mark Johnston who gambled away half-a-mil at the Downtown Grand casino in Las Vegas over Super Bowl weekend. Johnston is suing the Grand for enabling him to gamble while allegedly serving him comped drinks to the point of over-intoxication according to Fox News even though “Nevada law bars casinos from allowing visibly drunk patrons to gamble and from serving them comped drinks.” The Grand is countersuing Johnston for not paying his gambling debts. The case seems to be unprecedented. So does the hangover.  [Fox News] [Photo: Flickr/Joel Kramer]
