Pernod Ricard Intros New Design and Sweeter Recipe for Havana Club

Pernod Ricard has re-imagined the Havana Club Añejo Especial in order to emphasize the brand’s Cuban roots, reports The Grocer. The recipe will still keep its ABV of 40 percent, but makes for a sweeter tasting experience as it blends aged rums that have notes of vanilla, caramel, tobacco, cinnamon and orange peel. The brand boasts that this new recipe will make for an authentic Cuba Libre.

Havana Club isn’t the only liquor brand that is rebranding its image to emphasize its Cuban heritage. Bacardi announced at the beginning of the month that its entire range would be receiving a brand new design as well. The new Havana Club will be available starting on February 23.
