Jennifer Lauren, jewelry designer and niece of Ralph Lauren was recently tried and charged with being drunk and disorderly on a flight bound for New York according to the Belfast Telegraph. The flight, which originated in Barcelona, was forced to divert to Shannon, Ireland where Lauren was escorted off the plane and requested that her arrestors speak in English. She appeared in court in Ireland this morning where she was “charged with engaging in behaviour likely to cause serious offence or annoyance to any person on board the aircraft.” The Telegraph’s report indicates Ms. Lauren was wearing a “smart black dress” for her appearance in court.
