On May 2nd Wheeling Forward is bringing together 150 wines and 50 of the top sommeliers in New York City as a part of their annual Wine on Wheels fundraiser. Wheeling Forward is a charity that focuses on serving New York’s disabled community that has been bringing wine lovers together in the name of charity for years now.
This year the event is being held at City Winery and will feature a tasting, silent auction and seminars hosted by GuildSomm, featuring a focused look at individual wine regions, spirits and the technique of blind tasting. Wheeling Forward’s co-founder Yannick Benjamin, who also serves as a sommelier at the University Club, will be leading guests and fellow sommeliers in a day of learning and discovering new wines.
Wine on Wheels will feature producers from around the world including: Champagne Delamotte, Gothic Winery, Red Tail Ridge, Domaine La Soumande and many more. There will also be hors d’oeurves provided by Taquitoria, as well as other snacks like Tumbador hand crafted chocolates.
