“I was making a cocktail for Negroni week, and I thought it would be fun to do something frozen,”says Jeremy Oertel, on why he first made his frozen strawberry Negroni at Donna, in Brooklyn. “I was just recently playing around with frozen strawberry Daiquiris the week before and thought it would be fun to add a fruity twist to the Negroni.”
Oertel’s recipe stays true to a classic, mixing gin, Campari and Carpano Antica, but includes the fruity additions of orange juice and strawberries both in the recipe and as a garnish.
