tico kafes cocktail recipe john perry yates

Dark, foamy and unfiltered is how most Greeks take their coffee, but instead of the traditional Loumidis or Bravo grounds, this drink uses freshly-ground Costa Rican beans. Created by illustrator John Perry Yates for the 2014 World Cup match between Greece and Costa Rica, the Tico Kafés mixes the anise flavor of ouzo with coffee, similar to Italy’s caffè coretto alla sambuca.
