Tip Your Bartender: Donna, Brooklyn

Fanny Chu's Rabiosa reads like the love child of a Margarita and a Daiquiri.

Tip Your Bartender is a social media initiative from PUNCH connecting our readers with bar teams across the country via Instagram. We’re asking select bartenders to share their drinks (albeit virtually) and encourage the PUNCH audience to “tip” during the economically uncertain times ahead.

Between March 30th and May 29th, for every dollar tipped to bar teams, the Bacardi family of brands has generously committed to matching it with an equal gift to our charitable partner, Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation.

Rabiosa

Fanny Chu, Donna | Brooklyn, New York

Told that black cherry and mezcal are not complementary flavors, Fanny Chu set out to make the Rabiosa. Her cocktail has notes of black cherry, almond, warm chocolate, spice and smoke for a drink that reads like the love child of a Margarita and a Daiquiri.

1 ounce Bacardi 8
1 ounce Del Maguey Vida mezcal
¾ ounce fresh lime juice
½ ounce Ratafia black cherry liqueur
¼ ounce orgeat
1 teaspoon cane syrup
8 drops of Bittermens ‘Elemakule Tiki Bitters

Combine all ingredients in a mixing tin and shake with ice. Double-strain into a chilled coupe.

Order ingredients for this cocktail for delivery via Drizly.
