This spring, aperitivo during golden hour where the Italian tradition started. One hundred and sixty years ago, in Turin, halfway between the vineyards of the Piedmont region and the botanical-rich foothills of the Alps, Martini & Rossi released its first vermouth, Martini & Rossi Rosso, and the rest is history.
Now they are sending two lucky people to tour and experience the classic Italian aperitivo tradition for themselves.
Martini & Rossi is giving one grand prize winner a getaway for two to Italy, including airfare, transportation, and hotel accommodations for a 4-night stay. The winner will see firsthand how vermouth and spumante are created and enjoy craft cocktails made by some of the world’s best bartenders.

Day 1: On the first day, the winners will fly into Milan and drive two hours to Turin, where aperitivo started. They will visit Café Torino, a historic aperitivo bar, and drink classic cocktails reimagined with the Martini Riserva Speciale range — Ambrato and Rubino Vermouth di Torino and Speciale Bitter — as well as traditional aperitivo snacks like chips and olives. For dinner, they’ll partake in a traditional Piedmontese meal, with dishes such as bagna cauda, vitello tonnato, and agnolotti.
Day 2: For their second day, they will visit the rustic vineyards of Santo Stefano Belbo, where Martini & Rossi spumante, the brand’s sparkling wine, is produced. They will tour the vineyard and see the winemaking process step-by-step. The tour will finish with a glass of wine and charcuterie, and the day will end with a meal at a local cantina with views of the Barbaresco and Barolo hills.
Day 3: On the third day, they will arrive at Casa Martini in Pessione, the original home of Martini & Rossi. There, they will have a breakfast reception filled with coffee and classic pastries and tour the home with its library of hundreds of bottles of vermouth dating back to Martini & Rossi’s founding. They will also be able to tour the factory and visit the Martini museum with its director and can try their hand at blending their own vermouth with the masters.
Day 4: The final day in Italy will be a free day in Turin or Milan, where they will soak in the culture and have a final aperitivo.
