Each passing year always seems more eventful than the last, but that’s especially true for 2020.
In a year unlike any other, we turned to virtual drinking games and Zoom happy hours as our de facto means of socializing. We took on at-home cocktail projects both big and small, from microwave infusions to adding coffee beans to our stirred drinks to "wake them up." Not surprisingly, many of us were in pursuit of building a better home bar—seeking advice from bartenders on their preferred spirits, in addition to seeking out the best bottles in the growing ilk of Japanese gins.
As the year comes to a close, here’s a look back at a handful of stories that made the biggest impression on our readers, from unpacking the wine world’s history of exclusivity to getting to know the Paloma’s supercharged sibling from Jalisco.
