PUNCH Is Looking for a Photo Intern

Let us know why you're a good fit for this role at PUNCH.

Sherry Cobbler

PUNCH—an online magazine about cocktails, spirits, wine and beer (published in partnership with Ten Speed Press)—is hiring a photo intern with a passion for drinks and proven experience to join our Brooklyn-based team two to three days each week. Our dream candidate is organized, motivated and self-starting—an individual who excels in a start-up environment and takes ownership of their projects. Candidates must be proficient in Photoshop and possess a keen eye for detail, especially for color correction. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in studio lighting and those with an interest in drinks, though a dedicated drinks portfolio is not required.

In this internship, you’ll work directly with our Senior Editor and Head Photographer to create and organize imagery for use across the site. You’ll help process, retouch and crop photos, call in images and help facilitate on-location shoots. In addition, you’ll have opportunities to contribute to visual pitch meetings and will be shooting many of our in-house visuals for publication, both on the web and across social platforms. Our office in Bushwick is small and collaborative—we’ll be picking your brain for ideas regularly.

This internship is paid at $11 per hour and would start in September, at two days in our office each week. There may also be some weeks where we’d ask you to be in the office three days.

If interested, please send your resume in the body of an email to Senior Editor Lizzie Munro (lmunro@punchdrink.com), along with a link to your portfolio and a short note describing why you’re a good fit for this role at PUNCH.
