Tip Your Bartender is a social media initiative from PUNCH connecting our readers with bar teams across the country via Instagram. We’re asking select bartenders to share their drinks (albeit virtually) and encourage the PUNCH audience to “tip” during the economically uncertain times ahead.

Lost Lake’s take on the tropical classic named after the infamous Havana bar . Though not on their menu, their version of this popular call drink forgoes a garnish and suggests swapping apricot liqueur for home kitchen-friendly preserves.
2 ounces Bacardi 8
¾ ounce pineapple juice
¾ ounce lime juice
½ ounce cane syrup (2:1)
1 teaspoon apricot preserves
Combine all ingredients in a shaker. Add 5 ice cubes and shake for 10 seconds. Double-strain into a coupe.
