Tip Your Bartender is a social media initiative from PUNCH connecting our readers with bar teams across the country via Instagram. We’re asking select bartenders to share their drinks (albeit virtually) and encourage the PUNCH audience to “tip” during the economically uncertain times ahead.

Bad Mama Jama
A mainstay of The In Between’s menu, the Bad Mama Jama is updated seasonally to highlight different spirits, jams and herbs. Its “amplified sour” template is highly adaptable, making it the perfect formula to use whatever jam or herbs you have on hand.
2 ounces Bombay Sapphire gin
1 ounce fresh lemon juice
¾ ounce honey simple syrup (1:1)
1 heaping barspoon blackberry jam
1 sprig rosemary
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Garnish: Additional sprig rosemary
Combine all ingredients in a mixing tin. Shake and strain into a Collins glass over crushed ice. Garnish with the second rosemary sprig.
