In Kentucky, Derby day means billowing hats and mint juleps, cigars and bourbon. At Eleven Madison Park, it also means fried chicken, champagne and snow cones served by Chef Daniel Humm and bartender Leo Robitschek. And though there is no live horse racing, there is live music (courtesy The Brain Cloud and The Crooners), a raw bar, bottomless Old Fashioneds and zero jostling for a spot in a bathroom line. Really, outside of Churchill Downs, there’s no better place to get a Derby fix. Tickets are now on sale for this year’s sixth annual fête.
