Who to Follow in the New Wave of Wine Media?

There are thousands of wine blogs out there, and although blogger coverage has provided a fresh voice over the past decade, the ever-changing media landscape has also provided some newer, consistent voices to guide the conversation. As we head into the new wave of wine media, JancisRobinson.com provides a “a guide to the post wine blog era.”

For starters, podcast presented by New York sommelier and writer Levi Dalton, I’ll Drink to That was started in 2012, and has invited many notable wine personalities to discuss winemaking and drinking.

PUNCH also gets a shoutout. “Only a few months into her post as the newest columnist for Wine Spectator’s website last year, the young Talia Baiocchi departed to take the helm at a then-unnamed, top-secret new project,” writes Alder Yarrow. “The website has quickly distinguished itself as a significant new platform for high-quality writing by both established and emerging voices.”

Grape Collective, Wine-Searcher and Loam Baby have emerged as great sources for wine coverage as well. Included in the guide are a list of apps, although the majority of apps in the market has “proven quite useless,” Delectable and Vivino seem to have succeeded in providing top-notch knowledge in an accessible, simple way.
