Anu Apte’s Godfather

Anu Apte | Seattle

Seattle’s Anu Apte makes the case for the Godfather as one of the most underrated classics. “It’s one of my favorite simple yet often-overlooked after-dinner drinks,” she says. This recipe can be adjusted, with more or less peat in the Scotch depending “on my mood and/or what I had for dinner,” and more or less amaretto, depending on the Scotch. Creating a “Godfather–Old-Fashioned mashup,” Apte also sometimes adds a couple dashes of Angostura bitters to the mix.
