The Bensonhurst

Made with Italian amaro Cynar, Solomon named this Brooklyn cocktail variation for Bensonhurst, a “rough and tumble” Italian-American neighborhood in the borough of Brooklyn.

Ingredients

Serving: 1

  • 2 ounces rye whiskey, preferably Rittenhouse
  • 1 ounce dry vermouth, preferably Dolin
  • 2 teaspoons maraschino liqueur, preferably Luxardo
  • 1 teaspoon Cynar

Directions
  1. Add all ingredients to a mixing glass.
  2. Add ice and stir until chilled.
  3. Strain into a Nick & Nora glass.
