Cafe Royal Matador Recipe

One of two historic Matador cocktails that have inspired a number of modern riffs, Café Royal’s equal parts mixture of tequila, orange Curaçao and dry vermouth was first recorded in 1937. The Tequila Matador, meanwhile, is Trader Vic’s tropical spin on the drink.

Ingredients

Serving: 1

  • 2/3 ounce Curaçao
  • 2/3 ounce Curaçao
  • 2/3 ounce dry vermouth
  • 2/3 ounce dry vermouth
  • 2/3 ounce tequila
  • 2/3 ounce tequila

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing tin and shake with ice.
  2. Strain into a cocktail glass.
