Cooper's Nightcap

Jamie Boudreau’s nightcap is meant to resolve a complex meal. The drink is versatile, “replicating an amaro for those times when one has a big dinner but the restaurant does not stock amari,” explains Boudreau. “Most restaurants will have the three ingredients listed, and [thus] a happy stomach can now be had in most places.”

“1/2 ounce chilled Angostura bitters” – really?!
I’m not sure you can balance the flavour of 1/2 oz bitters with anything, certainly not just a bit of some creme de mure & St Germain…?
    Maybe you meant Angostura Rum?

A half ounce of Angostura Bitters is nothing. Don’t be a wuss.

Also, what is the proper layering order? First ingredient goes on the bottom?
