Dale DeGroff’s Whiskey Smash
Dale DeGroff, The Rainbow Room | New York
- 1 1/2 ounces bourbon
- 1 ounce water
- 3/4 ounce simple syrup
- 1/4 lemon, cut into two
- 3 mint leaves
Garnish: mint sprig
- Muddle syrup, water, lemon and mint in a cocktail shaker.
- Add bourbon. Shake with ice until chilled.
- Strain into rocks glass over crushed ice.
- Garnish with mint sprig.
