At Brooklyn’s racing-themed bar, OTB (Off Track Betting), Alla Lapushchik mixes rum, spicy Frangelico, citrus and a whole egg to create this tall flip that drinks like the love child of eggnog and an Orange Julius.

Ingredients

Serving: 1

  • 1 1/2 ounces Venezuelan rum, (preferably Santa Teresa 1796)
  • 1 1/2 ounces Venezuelan rum, (preferably Santa Teresa 1796)
  • 3/4 ounce Frangelico
  • 3/4 ounce Frangelico
  • 3/4 ounce orange juice
  • 3/4 ounce orange juice
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup, (1:1, sugar:water)

  • 1 whole egg

Garnish: dash of Angostura bitters

Directions
  1. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker.
  2. Dry shake (shake without ice).
  3. Add ice and shake until chilled.
  4. Strain into a Collins glass and top with seltzer.
  5. Garnish with a dash of Angostura.
