Drink Your Veggies

Jacyara de Oliveira, El Che Bar & La Sirena Clandestina | Chicago

St Germain Cocktail Recipe

“Drink Your Veggies is full of unexpected flavors and combinations,” says Jacyara de Oliveira, of Chicago’s El Che Bar & La Sirena Clandestina, about this aperitif cocktail. The cachaça-based drink is distinctly vegetal, marrying earthy carrot juice with the base spirit’s grassy notes, while doses of floral St-Germain and citrus brighten it all up.

“The aperitif, to me, is the beginning,” de Oliveira says. “It is bright and light and exciting, like the beginning of a new relationship or moving into a new apartment.”
