Holland Gin Cocktail

Erik Adkins, The Slanted Door | San Francisco

Erik Adkins is well versed in Curaçao’s versatility, showcasing the orange liqueur in the classic cocktail list alongside spirits both dark and light. Here, a small measure of Curaçao complements the juniper-heavy genever and the dash of orange bitters in his streamlined riff on Jerry Thomas’s Improved Holland Gin Cocktail, served, nontraditionally, on the rocks.
