Improved Shochu Cocktail

Kenta Goto’s (of the Japanese-style cocktail bar, Bar Goto) distant riff on the Improved Whiskey Cocktail that combines barley shochu, aged gin and hop liqueur.


Serving: 1

  • 2 ounces barley shochu, preferably Mizu no Mai
  • 2 teaspoons aged gin, preferably Berkshire Ethereal Gin
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cane syrup (2:1, sugar:water)
  • 1 pinch Hitachino no Shizuku

  1. All all ingredients to a mixing glass.
  2. Add ice, and stir until chilled.
  3. Strain into a Sake Masu (wooden sake box).
