Kenta Goto’s (of the Japanese-style cocktail bar, Bar Goto) distant riff on the Improved Whiskey Cocktail that combines barley shochu, aged gin and hop liqueur.
Improved Shochu Cocktail

Ingredients
Serving: 1
- 2 ounces barley shochu, preferably Mizu no Mai
- 2 teaspoons aged gin, preferably Berkshire Ethereal Gin
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cane syrup (2:1, sugar:water)
- 1 pinch Hitachino no Shizuku
Directions
- All all ingredients to a mixing glass.
- Add ice, and stir until chilled.
- Strain into a Sake Masu (wooden sake box).
