Jack Rose’s Kümmel Trident

In D.C., Trevor Frye riffs on the modern-classic Trident—equal parts aquavit, sherry and Cynar—by replacing the traditional Scandinavian spirit with kümmel liqueur and amontillado in place of fino, pumping up the drink’s savory notes.

Ingredients

Serving: 1

  • 1 ounce kümmel
  • 1 ounce Cynar
  • 1 ounce amontillado sherry
  • 2 dashes orange bitters

Garnish: orange peel

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass, add ice, stir and strain in to a chilled coupe.
  2. Garnish with an orange peel.
