La Vina Cocktail Recipe

“People who swear they hate whiskey love [this] drink, but it also pleases the most inveterate Manhattan disciple,” says Joaquín Simó of La Viña, an equal-parts cocktail created by Death & Co. co-owner Alex Day. 

Ingredients

Serving: 1

  • 1 ounce rye, preferably Russell's Reserve
  • 1 ounce rye, preferably Russell's Reserve
  • 1 ounce Amaro Nonino
  • 1 ounce Amaro Nonino
  • 1 ounce Lustau East India Solera Sherry
  • 1 ounce Lustau East India Solera Sherry
  • 1 dash Regans' Orange Bitters
  • 1 dash Regans' Orange Bitters

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir until chilled.
  2. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
