Legends of the Fall

As the name suggests, this autumnal drink captures plenty of nuttiness and spice in the glass. The base spirit is split between a generous pour of applejack and a smaller dose of rye whiskey.


Serving: 1

  • 1 1/2 ounces applejack
  • 1/2 ounce rye whiskey
  • 1 heavy barspoon falernum
  • 1 dash Allspice Dram
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters

Garnish: orange and lemon peels

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass over ice and stir until chilled.
  2. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
  3. Garnish with orange and lemon peels.
