Leo’s Coffee

At Portland Hunt + Alpine, the Leo’s Coffee is an ode to Leo Allen, the namesake of Allen’s Coffee Flavored Brandy. It’s also a riff on another Hunt + Alpine drink from bartender Trey Hughes called the Cafe Va Bene, which includes a shot of espresso in place of Allen’s.

Ingredients

Serving: 1

  • 1 1/2 ounce Cynar
  • 1 1/2 ounce Cynar
  • 3/4 ounce crème de cassis
  • 3/4 ounce crème de cassis
  • 3/4 ounce Allen's Coffee Flavored Brandy
  • 3/4 ounce Allen's Coffee Flavored Brandy

Directions
  1. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker.
  2. Add ice and shake until chilled.
  3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
