Livorno Punch

Italy has its very own punch: ponce alla Livornese. But unlike traditional punch, Livorno Punch swaps the tea element for coffee, specifically espresso, resulting in a bolder formula that feels right at home alongside the canon of modern coffee cocktails, from caffè corretto to Espresso Martinis.

Ingredients

Serving: 1

  • 1 barspoon sugar
  • 1 barspoon sugar
  • 2 ounces spiced rum
  • 2 ounces spiced rum
  • 1 1/2 ounces hot espresso
  • 1 1/2 ounces hot espresso
  • 1 lemon twist
  • 1 lemon twist

Directions
  1. In a small tempered glass, add the sugar and lemon twist.
  2. Top with the rum followed by the hot espresso.
