Gina Chersevani’s sophisticated variation on the classic Pink Lady omits grenadine in favor of bittersweet Campari instead.
This recipe also makes a great pitcher drink, she adds: “Do the same everything times eight, sans egg white. Put it over ice and it’s an incredible little punch.”
1 1/2 ounces dry gin, preferably Fords
1/2 ounce Campari
1 ounce egg white
1 ounce lemon juice
1 ounce orange liqueur, preferably Solerno
Garnish: zested orange rind
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing tin and dry shake without ice until frothy.
- Add ice and shake hard, until the sides of the tin are frosted over and the drink is super frothy.
- Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
- Garnish with a pinch of zested orange rind.
