Pinkies Out

Gina Chersevani, Buffalo & Bergen | Washington, D.C.

Gina Chersevani’s sophisticated variation on the classic Pink Lady omits grenadine in favor of bittersweet Campari instead.

This recipe also makes a great pitcher drink, she adds: “Do the same everything times eight, sans egg white. Put it over ice and it’s an incredible little punch.”

Serving: 1

  • 1 1/2 ounces dry gin, preferably Fords
  • 1/2 ounce Campari
  • 1 ounce egg white
  • 1 ounce lemon juice
  • 1 ounce orange liqueur, preferably Solerno

Garnish: zested orange rind

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing tin and dry shake without ice until frothy.
  2. Add ice and shake hard, until the sides of the tin are frosted over and the drink is super frothy.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  4. Garnish with a pinch of zested orange rind.
