Regal Gold Rush

A simple grapefruit peel in the cocktail shaker helps balance the honey sweetness of this classic cocktail, Lieberman says. It also adds a brisk, citrusy aroma.


Serving: 1

  • 2 ounces bourbon, preferably Buffalo Trace
  • 3/4 ounce lemon juice
  • 3/4 ounce honey syrup (3:1, honey:hot water)
  • 1 4-inch by 2-inch grapefruit peel

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing tin and shake with ice.
  2. Strain into an Old-Fashioned glass over fresh ice.
