Shannon Ponche, Clover Club & Leyenda | Brooklyn

Named for the Ford model that was only in production for two years in the 1950’s, this cocktail is Shannon Ponche’s (of New York’s Clover Club and Leyenda) riff on a Negroni Sbagliato. This “fall-spiced, low ABV cocktail” gains some nuttiness from savory oloroso and heat from Ancho Reyes, while sweet vermouth and Campari pay homage to its muse.

Ingredients

Serving: 1

  • 1 ounce oloroso sherry
  • 1/2 ounce Campari
  • 1/2 ounce Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur
  • 1/2 ounce sweet vermouth
  • 2 ounces sparkling wine

Garnish: orange half-wheel

Directions
  1. Pour all ingredients into a rocks glass and stir briefly.
  2. Top with sparkling wine and garnish with an orange half-wheel.
