“This is our Italian spin on the Vesper,” says Mike Trow. In addition to mixing vodka and gin, it also mixes rich ambrato vermouth with bracing dry vermouth.

Ingredients

Serving: 1

  • 1 1/2 ounces gin, preferably Garnish Island gin
  • 3/4 ounce vodka, preferably Basic vodka
  • 1/2 ounce Martini & Rossi Ambrato vermouth
  • 1/4 ounce Dolin dry vermouth

Garnish: baby basil leaf

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir until chilled.
  2. Strain into a Nick & Nora glass.
  3. Garnish with a basil leaf.
