Winter Crusta

Owen Westman’s Winter Crusta simply swaps rye into the build and finishes the drink with a nutmeg-sugar rim for winter-ready rendition of the Brandy Crusta.


Serving: 1

  • 2 ounces rye
  • 1/2 ounce orange liqueur, preferably Cointreau
  • 1/2 ounce maraschino liqueur
  • 3/4 ounce lemon juice

Garnish: lemon twist

  1. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until chilled.
  2. Strain into a coupe.
  3. Garnish with a lemon twist and a nutmeg-sugar rim (see Editor's Note).
Editor's Note

For the nutmeg-sugar rim, simply combine grated nutmeg and white sugar in a ration of 1:4.
