Owen Westman’s Winter Crusta simply swaps rye into the build and finishes the drink with a nutmeg-sugar rim for winter-ready rendition of the Brandy Crusta.
Winter Crusta

Ingredients
Serving: 1
- 2 ounces rye
- 1/2 ounce orange liqueur, preferably Cointreau
- 1/2 ounce maraschino liqueur
- 3/4 ounce lemon juice
Garnish: lemon twist
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until chilled.
- Strain into a coupe.
- Garnish with a lemon twist and a nutmeg-sugar rim (see Editor's Note).
Editor's Note
For the nutmeg-sugar rim, simply combine grated nutmeg and white sugar in a ration of 1:4.
