Hackney Wick’s Crate Brewery does double duty as a brewpub and a pizzeria, complete with appealing canal-side seating. The pub is upcycled and furnished with items scavenged from the residential and industrial environs and the brewery forms part of a large complex called The White Building, a factory transformed into a creative lab for arts and technology. As such, the crowd is a range of young, creative types who know good beer by osmosis.
