Located in the white-hot Randolph Street area of the West Loop, this Spanish tapas restaurant run by husband-and-wife duo Mark and Liz Mendez has the feel of a family-run neighborhood restaurant. But don’t let the casual vibe deceive you: This is a restaurant executing on a high enough level that it’s become a destination in its own right. Part of this, of course, is thanks to the wine list, which boasts one of the city’s strongest selections of both Italian and Spanish wines (with a smattering of wines from the Americas, France and the like). But the list really lets its freak flag fly for sherry.
