The name of this drink, imo, means “potato” in Japanese. Here, mellow, earthy potato shochu is given additional complexity thanks to two liqueurs: subtly bitter Mr. Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur and smoky crema de mezcal.


Serving: 1

  • 1 1/2 ounces potato shochu, preferably Shiranami Genshu
  • 3/4 ounce Del Maguey Crema de Mezcal
  • 2 teaspoons Mr. Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass, add ice and stir until chilled.
  2. Strain into a snifter.
