Roof at Park South

In a city teeming with mediocre rooftop bars, it took out-of-town talent to build one worth the elevator ride. Rather than rely simply on the premium of outdoor space, as so many rooftops do, Boston’s Ted Kilpatrick, of No. 9 Park, and Tim and Nancy Cushman, the couple behind celebrated sushi restaurant O Ya, introduce the missing element: standout food and drinks that are inventive and well-executed. A stellar view of the Chrysler building and a freestanding fireplace add to the appeal, but honestly: You’d be happy here even if there was a roof over your head.
