Home to Liquor License No. 1, the Berghoff is a Chicago institution whose roots pre-date even the 1893 World’s Fair. While meals at the restaurant often require a reservation and a second stomach, the Berghoff bar is ideal for a taste of the four-generation family business, presuming you can snag a spot along the brass rail.
