A press release from The Balvenie Single Malt Scotch Whisky announced yesterday that they will be partnering with eponymous television personality Anthony Bourdain in a “multifaceted” celebration of craftsmanship. Their collaboration aims to showcase American craftspeople who continue to champion handmade quality over mass production.
Bourdain will host Raw Craft, a short video series that takes a close at American craftsmen sponsored by The Balvenie. He’ll also act as the “lead juror” in the American Craft Council Rare Craft Fellowship Awards, which are held in association with The Balvenie and include a first-prize trip to Scotland along with a $10,000 endowment. In addition, Bourdain will help to curate The Balvenie 2015 Rare Craft Collection.
