Lessen the ABV — not the flavor

It’s easy to get tired of high-ABV sippers after seemingly endless holiday parties, but drinking no or low ABV this January doesn’t mean you have to settle for seltzers.  Thanks to the recent sober curious movement, there are plenty of complex, flavor-filled, no-ABV aperitifs out there that will add complexity and nuance to whatever you’re drinking — whether you’re abstaining from alcohol, cutting back, or just want lighter cocktail options to start off the new year.

Martini & Rossi, famous for its 160-year history making vermouth, has two excellent nonalcoholic options made through reverse osmosis: Vibrante and Floreale. Vibrante is reminiscent of your traditional orange-laden, full-flavored, Italian-style aperitif with notes of bergamot and citrus, while Floreale is a white vermouth filled with floral flavors like chamomile and artemisia.

Below are four recipes that use Martini & Rossi Vibrante and Floreale for light, flavorful takes on classics — the Vibrante Spritz, Floreale & Tonic, Negroni Sbagliato, and Floreale Margarita.

Vibrante Spritz

This Spritz has the bitter citrus note you’re looking for — without the added ABV.

Vibrante Negroni Sbagliato

This recipe makes use of a nonalcoholic aperitif for a lighter take on the modern classic.

This margarita is bursting with fresh fruit and floral flavors from its Floreale vermouth and lime and orange juices.

1 ½ ounces tequila blanco
¾ ounce fresh lime juice
½ ounce organic agave nectar
½ ounce fresh orange juice
