Embittered Garibaldi

David Little, Barnacle | Seattle

This austere recipe from David Little, who formerly oversaw the bar program at Barnacle in Seattle, represents an inverse image of the classic Garibaldi’s bright sunrise hue. Combine two ounces of Braulio, one ounce of Amaro Montenegro and 2 pinches of kosher salt in a mixing glass with ice. Stir until chilled, then strain into a chilled double Old-Fashioned glass over a large ice cube. Garnish with a lemon twist.
