Just two coffee beans in the blender—a technique learned from late bartender John Lermayer—adds balance and a hint of coffee flavor to this banana Daiquiri.
- 1/2 ripe banana
- 1 1/2 ounces white rum
- 3/4 ounce banana liqueur, preferably Tempus Fugit Crème de Banane
- 1/2 ounce lime juice
- 1/4 ounce simple syrup
- 2 whole coffee beans
Garnish: two straws
- Blend all ingredients with crushed ice for 15 seconds.
- Pour into an 8 1/2-ounce coupe glass.
- Serve with two straws.
