Though Yana Volfson’s go-to Margarita calls for Casa Dragones blanco tequila, which typically retails for more than $50, this version, which took third place in our 2024 Margarita tasting, calls on the more affordable Tapatío 110 alongside a split measure of orange liqueur and lime juice for an exceptional take on the classic Marg.

Ingredients

Serving: 1

  • 1 1/2 ounces Tapatío 110
  • 1 1/2 ounces Tapatío 110
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce Combier triple sec
  • 1/2 ounce Combier triple sec
  • 1/2 ounce Giffard triple sec
  • 1/2 ounce Giffard triple sec

Garnish: salt (for the rim)

Directions
  1. Prep a rocks glass with a half salt rim.
  2. Add all ingredients to a shaker and hard-shake.
  3. Strain over fresh ice into the prepared glass.
