Japanese Whisky Highball

Ubiquitous in Japan, the whisky highball, like so much of Japanese drinking culture, has become an object of fascination on this side of the Pacific in recent years. Here, the dead simple two-ingredient formula.

Ingredients

Serving: 1

  • 2 ounces Japanese whisky
  • soda water, to top

Garnish: lemon expression

Directions
  1. In an ice filled highball glass, pour the whisky.
  2. Top with soda water, being careful not to pour directly onto the ice.
  3. Garnish with a lemon expression.
