A stirred Scotch sour is a rarity in the cocktail canon. With honey syrup, sweet vermouth, lemon and maraschino (the ingredient that provides the “improvement”), the Improved Scotch Sling is familial with the Penicillin and Martinez, but also prefers to do its own thing.
