Canchánchara

The original Cuban cocktail.

The Canchánchara was created by guerilla fighters of the Cuban Wars of Independence. Originally made with aguardiente de caña (the first distillation of sugar cane) honey, and limón crillo (also known as Mexican lime or Key lime), the drink was originally a restorative for enslaved people working the plantations.
