This vodka-based orange infusion boosts the citrus aromatics of any drink without the actual peel. Miguel Lancha recommends it as a finishing touch to rhum agricole-based drinks to boost the inherent citrus notes or as an added garnish to tiki-style cocktails.
- 1 cup vodka
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon zested orange peels
- Steep orange peels in the vodka-water mixture for several hours, or until the desired aroma is achieved.
- Strain out orange peel, and funnel into an atomizer bottle.
Keeps, at room temperature, for up to one month.
