Death and Co.’s Corpse Reviver No. 2

Placing second in our recent blind tasting was Death & Co.‘s house recipe for the Corpse Reviver No. 2. This rendition was nearly textbook: equal parts Beefeater Gin, Cointreau, Cocchi Americano and lemon juice, with two dashes of absinthe, mixed with all the ingredients and no garnish. All judges commented on the drink’s fresh, bright quality. “Pretty damn standard,” said Tristan Willey.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 ounce gin, preferably Beefeater
  • 3/4 ounce gin, preferably Beefeater
  • 3/4 ounce Cointreau
  • 3/4 ounce Cointreau
  • 3/4 ounce Cocchi Americano
  • 3/4 ounce Cocchi Americano
  • 3/4 ounce lemon juice
  • 3/4 ounce lemon juice
  • 2 dashes absinthe
  • 2 dashes absinthe

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing tin and shake with ice.
  2. Strain into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass.
