All the drinks at midcentury-themed Bottle Club Pub reference classic American songs; this Golden Cadillac riff is named for a 1956 Pearl Bailey ballad. 

A word of advice from Jayson Wilde: Don’t try to hurry the melting process on the stovetop or microwave. “It changes the structure of the ice cream,” he says. Wilde cuts a 3-gallon tub of ice cream in half, peels off the cardboard, sets it in a large Cambro container and allows it to melt overnight.

Ingredients

Serving: 1

  • 1 ounce Strega herbal liqueur
  • 1 ounce Strega herbal liqueur
  • 1 ounce Giffard white crème de cacao
  • 1 ounce Giffard white crème de cacao
  • 1 1/2 ounces French vanilla cream (see Editor’s Note)
  • 1 1/2 ounces French vanilla cream (see Editor’s Note)
  • 10 ounces pebble or crushed ice
  • 10 ounces pebble or crushed ice

Garnish: grated nutmeg

Directions
  1. Flash-blend all ingredients in a Hamilton Beach blender (or other stand-up mixer).
  2. Strain into a coupe glass.
  3. Garnish with grated nutmeg.

Mix 2 parts melted French vanilla ice cream with 1 part heavy cream.
