Team Lyan’s recipe for the beloved G&T recreates its flavors without the addition of tonic water or quinine.
- 2 ounces tonic syrup (see Editor's Note)
- 2 1/2 ounces gin
- soda water, to top
- Combine all ingredients in a Collins glass over ice.
12 ounces tonic tea (see below)
31 ounces sugar
1 ounce citric acid powder
1/2 ounce malic acid powder
1 3/4 ounces absinthe
Combine all ingredients until fully integrated. Store in a sealable container for up to one week.
13 1/2 ounces boiling water
1/4 ounce gentian root
1/4 ounce wormwood
Combine all ingredients in a jug. Let infuse for four minutes then strain.
